Coverage:
Medicare (Part B) and many private insurance companies provide all or at least partial coverage for the VED® Ultra. -
Pre Authorization:
Firma Medical will complete a comprehensive review of allowed benefits. We work diligently with your insurance provider to determine benefits for the VED® Ultra. -
Assignment:
Firma Medical accepts assignment of benefits for both Medicare (Part B) and private insurance. That means Firma can directly bill Medicare or your insurance company for the VED® Ultra. -
Getting Started:
A prescription from your doctor is needed for the VED® Ultra.

Medicare Coverage
Medicare (Part B) will cover 80% of the VED as long as a vacuum erection device has not been claimed in the last five years and you have met your deductible for the calendar year. Proof and verification are required, along with a prescription from your physician. Firma Medical accepts assignment of benefits from Medicare. Patients will be responsible for the 20% co-insurance payment unless covered by a secondary insurance plan.

Private Insurance Coverage
Most private insurance companies cover the VED. Proof and verification are required, along with a prescription from your physician. Our office will coordinate to make sure you’re covered and will accept assignment of benefits. Your final out of pocket expenses will be based upon any co-pays, co-insurance, or deductibles.

Supplemental or Secondary Insurance
Supplemental insurance plans, in some cases, cover co-insurance payments. We accept assignment and will file the
claim on your behalf.

No Insurance Coverage
If you don’t have insurance coverage, our OTC (over the counter) systems are a great option and do not require a prescription.
